Knitting on the Rogue River

I’ve been tagged by the Knitting Fiend with the “Seven Random Facts about Me” meme. In addition to my 7 random facts I also have to tag 7 others that haven’t been tagged for this meme.

1. I’ve a very slow knitter only because I don’t devote enough of my spare time to knitting. There are too many other things calling me and taking my time.
2. I’ve started doing Yoga to lose weight and decrease tension. Just started so send positive reinforcing thoughts my way.
3. I’m obsessed with color and texture, either fiber or paint or paper or cloth or photographs, (you get the picture). I interact with my world through touch.
4. Tools are very important to me. The right tool to do the job, whether it’s knitting, spinning, or building a boat, you need to have the right tool for the job.
5. My mind is a giant sponge for the things I’m interested in. In fact I’m more than a little obsessive about things that interest me, wanting to know everything about a subject. At least until I get bored and move on to something else.
6. The more grown up my children get the happier they make me. Not because they’re grown and gone but because they’ve turned into such wonderful people.
7. If I could afford it I would go back to school and get a degree in Fiber Arts. Why a degree is important to me is more than likely a need for validation. But I’ve always wanted to go to art school and at one time in my life wanted to draw better. Now being able to draw isn’t as important as it should be.
